The 2018 Volvo S90 T5 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends that power to the front wheels.
The Volvo S90 T6 is backed by both 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged engine good for 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is also standard and comes exclusively with all-wheel drive.
At track testing, the 2018 Volvo S90 T6 Inscription went from zero to 60 mph in a quick 5.9 seconds. The EPA estimated fuel economy for the T5 powertrain at 27 mpg combined (24 city/34 highway) and 25 mpg combined (22 city/31 highway) for the T6 variant.
