The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica is one for two, this is a thorough update to pre-existing models, and the re-creation of its nameplate. Today the Pacifica is known as a seven or eight-passenger minivan, but with new features that give some life to this outdated segment. A dual-screen rear entertainment system, automated parking systems and semi-autonomous driving features are some of the new Pacifica’s more clever features.
The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica minivan is available in six main trim levels: L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus and Limited.
Every 2018 Chrysler Pacifica is backed by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that generates 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission sent that power to the front wheels. Also standard is an automatic engine stop-start function, which helps save fuel when you’re not moving at stoplights.
In track testing, the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds, a few tenths quicker than rivals. EPA fuel economy estimated at 22 mpg combined (18 city/28 highway), an average number for the minivan segment.
Properly equipped, the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica can tow up to 3,600 pounds.
