The 2018 Cadillac XT5 comes with a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel drive is available on all trims except for the base and comes standard on the Platinum trim. An automatic engine stop-start feature to help save fuel is also standard.
In track testing, the 2018 Cadillac XT5 hit 60 mph in 6.6 seconds, which seems sufficient for most road uses. EPA fuel economy rating with front-wheel drive at 22 mpg combined (19 city/26 highway), while the all-wheel-drive at 21 mpg combined (18 city/25 highway).
With the optional Trailering package, the 2018 Cadillac XT5 can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
