It is therefore not surprising that the 2018 BMW M6, the company’s flagship two-door performance car is something truly special.
Although not a genuine sports car, the 2018 BMW M6 can still challenge the world’s on just about every road, thanks to muscular engines, athletic suspension and strong brakes. At the same time, it also offers all the comforts and luxuries you would expect from BMW flagship convertible and coupe.
The 2018 BMW M6 is a high-performance luxury convertible that available in a single trim level. The convertible gets a power-operated fabric top and a heated glass rear window that can be raised independently of the top to serve as a wind blocker.
Powering the 2018 BMW M6 is a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 that generates an impressive 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. Opting for the Competition package increases output to 600 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Power sent to the rear wheel via a no-cost traditional six-speed manual or a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. If you want the Competition Package, you’ll have to stick to the standard seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual, which using steering-wheel-mounted paddles rather than row a gearbox.
In track testing, the 2018 BMW M6 convertible with the automated manual transmission went to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. Top speed of 160 mph. EPA fuel economy rating stand at 17 mpg combined (15 city/22 highway) with the manual and 16 mpg combined (14 mpg city/20 mpg highway) with the automatic transmission.
The 2018 BMW M6 convertible has a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of about $122,300. With a fully loaded M6 Convertible cost about $130,000.
